What does Dermalux LED light therapy do?
What does LED light therapy do for you?
Medical Wavelengths
Dermalux® is the world’s leading company in LED phototherapy. This is because Dermalux only use specific wavelengths of light that are clinically & medically proven to treat and manage.
Ceramic Cooling LEDs
Dermalux also has patented Ceramic LED lights that stay cool, ensuring the skin is not heated. When skin is heated, it can worsen inflammatory skin concerns, which is why Dermalux has cooling technology.
High Power
Other competitor LEDs are lower in power and often use different wavelengths, which are not medically proven to treat/manage. This means that skin concerns may not improve, or many more treatments may be required.
LED Masks
Our clinical devices also cannot be compared to LED masks worn at home, as their wavelengths and power levels are not comparable. Here are the skin concerns that Dermalux Tri-wave MD is clinically proven to treat. The masks also don’t allow the client to select individual wavelengths, so some skin conditions could initially worsen.
Here is a list of the medical conditions that Dermalux Tri-wave MD LED has been clinically & medically proven to treat in hospitals today.
- Acne – Grade 1-5
- Wound Healing
- Psoriasis/Eczema
- Pain (Musculoskeletal)
- Skin Cancer
The Dermalux Tri-Wave MD® is currently used in the NHS to treat these concerns, as well as burns, and to reduce post-operative healing time. In the clinic, it is used to effectively treat inflammatory and distressed skin conditions whilst accelerating healing without downtime. Another reason we invested in the Dermalux Tri-wave MD® is that it is 10 times more powerful than the Dermalux Flex Hood, and treatment time is also shorter.
WHAT MAKES DERMALUX® LED PHOTOTHERAPY DIFFERENT
Dermalux has the option of using three lights (wavelengths), which are used to target skin-specific concerns. These lights can be used on their own, or the practitioner can select a combination of one, two or three LED lights for optimum results. The type of skin concern will determine which LED light (s) may be used. The prescription of light is essential for results. For example, red light on inflamed or acne skin makes it worse. Many competitor LED lights, and the masks worn at home, don’t all have the function of selecting one, two, or three lights. This means that they could have had the reverse effect on the skin.
The three lights used are red, blue, and near-infrared. The Dermalux Tri-Wave MD® delivers Blue 415nm, Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm wavelengths, which are the industry-leading and most clinically evidenced wavelengths for effective LED Phototherapy results. It’s these exact wavelengths of light that give the clinical results. Other competitor brands do not use these exact wavelengths, so they lack clinical certification, and their treatments are less effective.
Dermalux® is heat-free, chemical-free, and does not harm the skin. It has an excellent safety profile and is beneficial for all skin types, with no downtime.
Dermalux® Blue Light 415nm – penetrates up to 1mm in the epidermis
It’s antibacterial and destroys the bacteria that cause breakouts. It’s clinically proven to treat acne and breakout-prone skin with no downtime. It can be used as a standalone treatment or post-treatment, too. The benefits are as follows:
