Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment
PRP treatment uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood to support natural repair and renewal in the skin or scalp. It may be right for you if your skin is looking less firm, smooth or refreshed, or if thinning hair is becoming more noticeable and you want to support the hair you still have.
The platelet-rich plasma is delivered into the face, neck or scalp using our U225 injector. Its rapid, precise delivery makes treatment virtually painless for most clients, with minimal downtime and results that build over time.
Rather than simply applying PRP to the skin during microneedling, the U225 gun injects directly into the targeted area at a controlled depth, giving us greater precision over where the treatment is placed.
For the face and neck, PRP supports collagen and skin renewal to improve the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture and acne scarring. On the scalp, PRP hair treatment supports existing follicles and can improve the appearance of hair density.
PRP face and neck treatment is ideal if your skin is starting to look less firm, smooth or refreshed, or if fine lines, uneven texture and acne scarring are becoming more noticeable.
Using platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, PRP supports collagen and natural skin renewal to gradually improve overall skin quality. Rather than adding volume, it works with the skin itself to help it look firmer, smoother and healthier over time.
This makes PRP a great option if you want to rejuvenate your skin without dermal fillers, although the two treatments can also work alongside each other when different concerns need addressing.
Results develop gradually, for a fresher, more refined appearance that still looks completely like you.
PRP hair treatment may support existing follicles and improve the appearance of hair density and scalp health in suitable clients.
Results will depend on the cause, stage and duration of your hair thinning. PRP may not be suitable for every type of hair loss. However, your consultation allows us to assess your concern and establish whether PRP hair restoration is an appropriate option for you.
Clients can begin with either a course of three or 6 PRP treatments, depending on their concern, suitability and clinical recommendation.
Face and neck treatments are normally performed every 4 weeks. PRP scalp treatments are normally performed every 2 weeks.
Three months after your final treatment, you will return for a review with comparison photographs. For scalp clients, this also includes an assessment of hair growth, density and scalp health.
PRP results develop gradually because the treatment works with your body’s natural repair and renewal processes.
For PRP skin rejuvenation, improvements build over time as collagen production and skin renewal are supported, helping the skin look smoother, firmer and more refreshed. For hair restoration, change also takes time because PRP works alongside the natural hair-growth cycle and supports existing hair follicles.
You may start to notice changes during your course, with results continuing to develop afterwards. PRP is not about an overnight transformation, it is about progressive improvement that builds naturally over time.
Your progress will be reviewed three months after your final session. Where appropriate, a maintenance PRP treatment every three months may be recommended to help support your results. If your practitioner feels another course would be more beneficial, this can be discussed at your review.
PRP and exosomes both aim to support skin or hair renewal, but they work differently. PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and delivers your platelet-rich plasma directly into the face, neck or scalp. Exosome treatments use a prepared formula containing cell-signalling ingredients and are often used alongside treatments that help deliver them into the skin.
Neither treatment is automatically better. PRP may suit you if you prefer a personalised treatment using your own blood and want targeted support for skin quality or existing hair follicles. Exosomes may be recommended when your concern would benefit from a different regenerative approach or when they complement another treatment in your plan.
