Fiji Filter Facial (IPL Treatment)

IPL PHOTOFACIAL AND PEEL (Fiji filter facial)

This IPL Photofacial is known as the Fiji Filter Facial. The reason it’s called a filter facial is because it makes the skin look more even in skin tone and texture, just like a filter does on a photo. It’s a clinic favourite as it starts with an acid peel to deeply exfoliate and decongest the skin before treating the rest of the skin concerns with IPL all at once. We use two IPL hand-pieces with different wavelengths to treat a vast number of concerns such as hyperpigmentation, sun damage, broken red veins, open pores, spider veins, redness, acne, rosacea etc.  After targeting all the client concerns we treat the whole area with a full face of new collagen stimulation to reduce fine lines, reduce pore size and improve skin texture.

This means there are three stages to this IPL Treatment

  1. Peel
  2. Remove Hyperpigmentation & or Red Veins/Red marks
  3. Stimulate more collagen & elastin

IPL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I do IPL after a chemical peel?

We recommend our chemical peel immediately before your IPL treatment for maximum results. When the skin has gently exfoliated the light from the IPL will penetrate deeper as the light won’t be reflected from dead skin cells or oil. You will also get the benefit from your skincare penetrating deeper too.

Do you peel after IPL?

If treating pigmentation you may notice slight darkening of the pigment which then flakes off where you will find less noticeable pigment underneath . Apply moisturising cream in the morning and at night to hydrate the skin.

Which is the better choice IPL or chemical peel?

Why choose? We recommend both on the same day to get the result of both treatments. They complement each other perfectly!! Naturally, we are all fully trained and there are a specific peel and protocol that is used.

Can I use glycolic acid after IPL Photofacial & peel?

We advise that clients wait 5 – 7 days post-treatment before using glycolic acid, salicylic acid, Retinol, tretinoin etc. If you are unsure just message us and or double-check your aftercare sheet.
