Danielle Lloyd’s Morpheus8 Treatment – Before & After

Why Danielle Lloyd Chose Morpheus8

Danielle Lloyd is a mother of five and is regularly in the public eye. As a busy working mum, Danielle has very little time for herself. She doesn’t have time to wear makeup daily as she loves to work out or is doing the school runs. All this means is that she requires treatments that provide results but do not require excessive visits to the clinic. She just wants to maintain her confidence makeup free when she is out and about.

Danielle will be turning 40 this year and she has noticed a huge difference with the skin laxity on her face. The areas that concerned her the most were around her jowl and chin area. She had noticed that her cheekbones and jawline were not as contoured as they once were. She wanted to achieve a natural look without surgery that would boost her own collagen and elastin naturally. This in turn will allow her to maintain her youthful appearance. Who wouldn’t want to maintain their looks and slow down the ageing process?

To assist with Danielle’s skin health she also uses Obagi Medical skincare. Obagi Medical speeds up the healing process and helps minimise her pigmentation whilst maintaining the results from her Morpheus8. The healthier the skin is, the better the results will be after treatment and the longer the results will be maintained. This is because the skin can restore and repair itself much more effectively.

What Is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a medical/surgical device which remoulds the skin. Numerous concerns can be treated, such as sagging/loose skin, double chin, drooping eyes, large pores, acne scars, stretch marks, crepey skin, and fine lines and wrinkles. It literally lifts, tightens and contours the whole face. Read more about Morpheus8 treatment at our Birmingham clinic here.

Morpheus8 combines radiofrequency and microneedling into a single treatment. It lifts and tightens the skin whilst breaking down unwanted fat in the chin and jowls. Any area of the face or body can be treated. The gold-plated needles are charged with radio frequency. This means the radio frequency can penetrate much deeper into the skin, providing better results.

Depending on which area of the face is treated, the depth of the needles will vary. The jowls and chin are the most popular areas to treat, and deeper penetration is used. The needles & radio frequency are able to reach the SMAS layer; the SMAS layer is a collagen and elastin sheet of tissue which becomes lax with age. The heat from the radio frequency and the injury from the needles cause this collagen sheet to tighten. This is because new collagen and new elastin are formed in the area to heal and so tighten the skin. The depth and heat from the needles also coagulate excess fat in the area. This then means that there is fat reduction as well as skin tightening and lifting. During the treatment, two passes are made over the area for maximum tightening and lifting. A different needle depth is used on each pass to ensure multiple layers of skin are treated for maximum results.

Why Have Morpheus8?

From the age of 25, we lose between 1–3 % of collagen and elastin every year. The healthier we are, the slower collagen and elastin are reduced; however, people with unhealthy lifestyles lose more collagen and elastin from smoking, excessive alcohol, excess sugar, etc. To stay looking young, it is important to maintain our collagen stores by staying healthy. These collagen banks can also be boosted by having clinical treatments, such as Morpheus8, to stimulate new collagen and elastin. Helping to replace the collagen and elastin that is naturally lost every year.

Morpheus8 creates two types of injury in the skin: thermal/heat injury from the radio frequency and physical injury from the needles. The body responds to this controlled injury by laying down new collagen and new elastin. This new basket weave of collagen creates skin tightening and contouring.

Many clients choose Morpheus8 as they just want to feel more confident and look younger. It is common knowledge that double chins don’t just affect overweight people; slim people get them as well. There are many factors that can cause double chins, such as poor posture from constantly looking down at mobile phones and working on laptops/computers. These are some of the reasons why Morpheus8 has become so popular, as it is very difficult to treat the lower face without surgery. For the upper face, muscle relaxing injections are available, but this is not possible on the lower face. In previous years, filler was the only option. People can, however, end up looking overfilled or having what is now known as a chipmunk face, as seen in many publications. In comparison, Morpheus8 provides natural skin tightening and contouring results without the need for filler or surgery.

About the Morpheus8 Treatment Course

We always recommend a course of three Morpheus8 treatments. Treatments can be done 3 to 4 weeks apart, and it takes at least 6 weeks for new collagen and elastin to form naturally within the body. This means that results are not seen immediately; full results can take up to 12 months. We always advise our clients to start skin preparation 12 months before any major event they are planning.

Clients are suitable from the age of 30 upwards. For younger clients, we recommend other treatment options. Top-up treatment is recommended every 12-24 months after completing the Morpheus8 course. This will depend on age, lifestyle and needs. We also recommend maintenance treatments such as radio-frequency or micro-needling to continuously stimulate new collagen and elastin in the area. We like to view Morpheus8 as an intensive Boot Camp for the skin. As you can imagine, if you attended an intensive Boot Camp to lose weight and then never stepped foot in a gym again, your body would naturally return to its original form. This is exactly the same as the face. After any intensive treatments, we would always recommend regular maintenance treatments. We cannot stop the body from losing collagen and elastin every year. It is really important to consistently maintain new, lasting collagen moving forward.

If you’d like to tighten and lift the skin to restore a more youthful look, then we always recommend booking in for a skin consultation to discuss treatment options and suitability. We also offer HIFU and LP Facelift (radio frequency) as alternatives for those who would like zero downtime and/or would rather not have microneedling.
