What is a HydraFacial Treatment? What is a HydraFacial treatment?
HydraFacial is well known for deep cleaning, exfoliating, extracting and hydrating your skin, leaving it glowing after just one treatment.
What makes fiji HydraFacial treatments better?
As standard Deluxe Hydrafacial treatments are completed with the handheld LED lights that come with the Hydrafacial machine. At Fiji we don’t use these as they are;
a) low power
b) Wavelengths are not medically certified
c) Single prescriptive wavelengths can’t be used
d) They are palm sized so only a small area of the face can be treated at one time.
We only used the Dermalux Flex LED Hood because it uses medically certified wavelengths and it treats all the face and neck at once. We do this complimentary after our Deluxe Hydrafacials as we believe in providing the best results to boost the glow and skin health. In April 2023 we also invested in the medical device Dermalux Tri-Wave which is used in the NHS today. This device is ten times more powerful than the Dermalux Flex Hood and the post treatment time is halved. This makes it perfect for busy clients who need results fast, the upgrade is only £20 on top of the Deluxe Hydrafacial. Visit our Dermalux page to read more about the benefits to medical phototherapy using Dermalux
Why Are results better with a cousre of HydraFacials at fiji?
At Fiji you will see more results when you have a number/course of Hydrafacials as we step up your Hydrafacial routine in 2 ways.
-
1) We change the tips to being more abrasive the more treatments you have. This means that you get more exfoliation the more treatments you have with us. Be aware that some clinics cut corners and costs by only using one tip (instead of 3) throughout all the steps. At Fiji we open a new tip which is specific for each step, this means that 3 different tips are used.
2) We also step up the strength of your peel. Everyone has to start off on 7.5% Glysal peel (a combination of Glycolic & Salicylic Acid). Once the skin is prepped, your practitioner will step you up to 15% & 30% Glysal peel. This is why its best to only stay with us for your treatments otherwise clients only ever receive a 7.5% peel as this is the introductory level.
Do HydraFacials really work
Yes! HydraFacial’s do work. A course of Hydrafacials are great to have before an event as it will leave your skin looking fresh, glowing and much healthier! We also show you the famous ‘gunk tank’ after your treatment to see what we have extracted from your skin!
What happens in a HydraFacial?
The HydraFacial includes a cleanse which resurfaces the skin, removes dead skin cells and preps the skin for the remaining steps. A ‘Glysal’ peel which is a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acid is then be applied to the skin to bring everything to the surface and soften blackheads and impurities ready for the next step which is extractions. We then extract blackheads, white heads, dead skin and congestion before hydrating the skin. To finish a cocktail of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid is applied which will protect and hydrate the skin while also improving texture, clarity and the signs of ageing.
Do HydraFacials hurt?
No HydraFacial’s are pain free and there is no downtime! It’s also a lot more effective than microdermabrasion.
How long do HydraFacial results last?
Everyone is different but generally results last around 4-6 weeks. Monthly HydraFacial’s are recommended to maintain the results.
What should you not do after a HydraFacial?
No waxing or threading for at least 48 hours after treatment. No chemical peels or laser treatments for two weeks after and avoid treatments or products containing acids or enzymes for 48 hours. We also recommend you stop using retinol/vitamin A 48 hours prior to treatment and resume normally two days post treatment. For tretinoin it is advised to stop using 5 days prior to treatment and resume as normal 5 days post treatment.
What are the benefits of a HydraFacial?
Suitable for all skin types. Long lasting hydration. Immediate radiant results. Painless extractions. Can be a standalone treatment. Can be used in combination with other treatments such as radio frequency and IPL. Personalized treatments for specific concerns are available.
How often should you get a HydraFacial?
If you are suffering with a specific concern you may want to opt for a HydraFacial once a week for 6 weeks followed by monthly maintenance or you can have a HydraFacial every 4-6 weeks to maintain the results.
Do HydraFacial’s remove blackheads?
YES! The HydraFacial technology allows for the removal of blackheads, dirt, dead skin and other impurities without any inflammation caused to the skin. You will be left with clean and clear skin.
Who can have a HydraFacial?
If you are pregnant or have a shell fish, honey or aspirin allergy we wouldn’t be able to treat you. However the HydraFacial is good for all skin types and skin concerns such as anti ageing, acne, pigmentation, inflammation and redness.
