HYPERPIGMENTATION TREATMENTS AT FIJI SKIN CLINIC
At Fiji Skin Clinic we safely & effectively treat all types of pigmentation on all skin tones from Fitzpatrick 1-6. Over 65% of our client base are higher skin tones from Fitzpatrick 3-5. This means that we are very experienced at lifting, educating and managing pigmentation safely. This is why we invested in the specific specialist medical lasers and skincare to treat stubborn pigmentation on higher skin tones.
An Initial Skin Consultation is always required to discuss suitable treatment options & skincare. The practitioner needs to assess the type and severity of pigmentaion to enable them to give treatment options. The Skin Consultation images are also baseline photos to see the root cause, whilst also monitoring and recording results during treatment.
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation treatment (PIH)
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation is generally temporary and may be seen after inflammation or trauma to the skin. For example brown marks left on the skin after breakouts/acne or cuts, burns, eczema etc. Typically, higher skin tones Fitzpatrick 3-6 are more susceptible to brown spots due to their genetic makeup. Once PIH is treated its generally gone long term as its superficial pigmentation. Top up treatments may be required if there has been excessive or unprotected sun exposure.
