These facial treatments are also fantastic maintenance treatments after a course of our more medical invasive treatments such as Laser or Radio Frequency Microneedling etc. These treatments are the most popular facials on our Membership Plans as they can be performed weekly or monthly unlike the more medical treatments.

These non invasive facials are also a great option if you are new to facial treatments and you may feel a little apprehensive about trying anything more invasive at this stage.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A DERMALUX TREATMENT

A thorough cleanse will be completed to allow full contact of the LED lights. The Dermalux Triwave panel will be placed 2 cms from the area being treated. You will then be left to relax for the next 10- 20 minutes whilst the lights do their work. Your practitioner will finish off the treatment with SPF.

Is LED light therapy the same as red light therapy?

LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy treats many skin conditions such as redness, breakouts, eczema, acne, fine lines and psoriasis. Dermalux LED has 3 different types of light, including red light LED therapy, blue light LED therapy and Near Infa-red light LED therapy. These can be used in combination as well alone which is dependant on the concern being treated.

What does Dermalux red light do?

 
Dermalux LED Red Light Therapy delivers Red Light is popular for a number of reasons. It completely rejuvenates the skin, it stimulates new collagen and elastin production, it can be used after all treatments to boost results. Its also medically proven to heal inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

What are the Contraindications for LED Phototherapy?

LED Phototherapy is a clinically proven and safe treatment without discomfort or downtime however for optimum results, we recommend that you read and follow the Dermalux® Pre and Post treatment advice outlined below.

BEFORE 

  • In preparation for your LED Phototherapy treatment, all makeup and skin care products including sunscreen should be removed to allow absorption of beneficial light into the skin.
  • For optimum results, exfoliation prior to treatment helps to remove dead skin cells which may reflect the light. For enhanced results a topical serum may be applied.
  • It is not necessary to remove contact lenses during the LED treatment.

AFTER

  • Following your LED Phototherapy treatment, apply the recommended skin care products which should include an SPF protection (day time only). Your skin care consultant can give you guidance on suitability of your current skin care products during the consultation.
  • If LED Phototherapy has been used in conjunction with other aesthetic procedures, specific aftercare advice should be followed.
  • Make-up can be applied immediately following LED Phototherapy. However, we recommend the use of mineral based or non-comedogenic formulations that allow the skin to breathe.
  • Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration levels and aid the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins.
  • In the unlikely event that any adverse reaction occurs following treatment, please contact your skin care professional within 24 hours for advice.

What is Dermalux Treatment?

Dermalux LED phototherapy creates healthy glowing skin with zero downtime. It is clinically proven to make cellular changes in the skin to reduce inflammation, repair skin and increase healing response. From new one treatment new collagen and elastin will be formed to create healthier skin.

How many Dermalux do I need?

To treat a specific concern we recommend 2-3 treatments a week for 12 sessions. To simply boost the skin we would recommend 3 treatments within 7-10 days. Alternatively you can add Dermalux to the majority of other treatments such as LP Facelift to boost results. We believe in Dermalux so much that we add it as standard within each 60min Hydrafacial at no extra charge. N.B. We don’t use the Hydrafacial handheld LED’s (like most clinics use) as they are not as strong or effective as the Dermalux Flex.

Are there any side effects?

There are no side effects to LED Phototherapy. Any skin type can be treated with no risks!

How long does Dermalux last?

Results after a Dermalux Led course can last several months, we would always advise to have maintenance treatments once a month to keep your results!

Can I wear makeup after LED Light Therapy?

Yes! One of the benefits of Dermalux LED is there is no downtime! Meaning you can carry on with your day without any signs of a treatment!

What are the contraindications for Environ Facial?

BEFORE

  • Avoid injectables within 4 weeks before treatment
  • Seek advice from Fiji Skin Clinic if you are on any prescription topical creams such as prescription vitamin A or antimicrobials as these must be stopped 7 days before treatment.
  • You must also contact us if you are on any medication or have changed/taken any new medication before each treatment.

AFTER

  • No make-up for the rest of the day

Does Dermalux tighten skin?

When using the red and near-infrared light, collagen and elastin is stimulated. Therefore will sooth fine lines and wrinkles, tighten and firm the skin.

Can you ‘overdo’ LED Light Therapy?

No, we encourage the fact that the scientifically proven lights have no side effects on the skin. Meaning it is impossible to ‘overdo’ this treatment!

What are the benefits of Dermalux?

The benefits of Dermalux are clinically proven to completely rejuvenate the skin. It’s proven to improve sun damage, pigmentation, hyperpigmentation and photoaging, it reduces acne, breakouts and congestion. It reduces redness including rosacea and flushing and it is also reported to help with eczema and other skin complaints such as dermatitis. Dermalux generally assists with all wound healing and scarring.

Can Dermalux damage eyes?

There are no reports to suggest that visible light will cause any damage to the eyes however, we always recommend the use of protective goggles for comfort purposes as the light is very bright.

I approached Fiji in September 2023 with a goal to achieve clearer, brighter, glassier skin for my September 2024 wedding. At this point my skin was relatively clear anyway, but I was aiming to generally improve how it looks and feels.After my initial skin review with Kay, and based on me breastfeeding so being unable to undergo any treatments, I was advised to go down the product route, and was prescribed a series of products. Costly, having spent a few hundred pounds, but I considered it an investment.At my 12 week review in December, I started seeing Beth for my appointments, and again reiterated my skin goals for my wedding. During this review, I’d noticed some real improvements to my skin, and I was advised to add more products to my routine to improve results.After this point, I noticed more break outs. During reviews from this point, any regressions were attributed to wedding stress, and although I hadn’t identified being particularly stressed, I was advised to practice more self care and take some time out for myself. I was prescribed a few more products and had supplements introduced to my routine too. Again, costly, but I was hopeful that the investment would pay off.By August 2024, a month out from my wedding, I expressed concerns that my skin had gotten worse since December, not better; with more breakouts than ever before. Again this was attributed to stress, but after sending pictures and again expressing my worry with my wedding nearing, in fairness to Beth, she really tried to help. She found a treatment that I’d be able to try while breastfeeding - the LED treatment - and offered these on a complimentary basis.After a few of these over the remaining weeks leading to my wedding, while my skin did benefit from an initial glow, sadly the breakouts didn’t improve.As a result, by the time my wedding came, I’d had more breakouts than ever before. Now, looking at our photos, I’m pretty devastated that I’d invested so much money to achieve such adverse results.Based on this, I cancelled any further appointments post-wedding, given that I’d achieved adverse results, and explained as such. To her credit, Beth arranged a follow up call to check in on me, and offered to look at helping me again in the future; which, given these results, I politely declined.I will say that the team at Fiji are lovely; very welcoming and friendly. It saddens me to write this review, but I do think it’s important to share.

Had such a lovely experience today at Fiji Skin Clinic! All of the staff are super friendly and welcoming and really make you feel at ease. I had an express Hydrafacial with a skin consultation and skin scanner which was fantastic. The skin scanner is so helpful and enables you to see your skin on a deeper level which will help to address concerns. My treatment was done by Chloe who was amazing, she is so knowledgeable and the just nicest person!I feel like going for facials can be daunting sometimes, especially when you don’t have “perfect” skin and suffer with skin issues, but the team at Fiji make you feel so at ease with no judgement, I felt super comfortable!Will definitely be back again!Thank you Chloe and Team Fijixxx

Was looking around for somewhere to have laser hair removal. Saw this had the best reviews booked a patch test and the difference i saw was absolutely insane so I booked myself in for another eight sessions. Chloe has been absolutely amazing. Having in lived in Sutton all my life I have always known and heard about Fiji Skin Clinic. When I finally decided to have laser hair removal I rang up and booked in for a consultation. The salon has recently been refurbished and is clean & welcoming. I had my consultation with Yvette who is so lovely, made me feel totally at ease and talked me through the procedure. I was amazed at how painless it was and booked in for a package. I have now had 2 sessions and I am already so pleased with the results, Yvette is amazing and makes me feel so at ease. I would recommend Fiji to anyone, although maybe a bit more expensive than other clinics, I have compared results with friends who have gone cheaper and theirs have either been more painful or not as effective.

This place is a joke. Treatments overpriced and do nothing for you. Recycling old posts on instagram with influencers to get people to their clinic.When you are reading the 5 star reviews like another reviewer here mentioned they offer discounts to get these reviews. Many will be fake.Reply to kay : no I certainly would not like to call you after the shoddy service you provided. You deserve zero stars. Visited the clinic today for a skin consultation/analysis today after seeing Fiji on Instagram.The ladies were very welcoming and Yvette was extremely helpful. She listened to my concerns and what my goals were and explains each bit in depth of the pictures they have taken. She spoke through all the relevant treatments and what would be recommended for me. Yvette also showed me the extensive skin care they have available and I had bought the full regime which I am very excited to use.I will definately been booking in for my treatments very soonThanks again!

I had my first skin consultation with Laura in March. She was very welcoming and extremely knowledgable. I have since been back for hydrafacials by Beth and Yvette. All ladies at the clinic are extremely nice and you always feel so welcomed there not to mention leaving with lovely skin! My acne and fine lines have improved tremendously and I couldn’t recommend the clinic enough! They’re always looking at new machines and products to give us the best experience and skin! 100% recommend!

A very friendly clinic.I’ve attended three times so far and can’t fault it in anyway. I had my initial consultation with Kay who was very knowledgeable, gave a good breakdown of what treatments, products and supplements were required.I’ve had Beth twice now for my treatments and she’s always so welcoming and accommodating. She always makes me feel comfortable, explains every step of the way what she’s doing. She listens to my concerns and goes at my own pace. It’s Always a pleasure to attend the clinic and I look forward to seeing my skin progress and achieving the outcome I want. Highly recommend the clinic to everyone.

I had an appointment at Fiji for a consultation, I turned up 15 mins late Which I totally understand is my fault and take full responsibility for, but when I arrived there, the practitioner(Kay) I had, bombarded me with negativity about how she doesn’t want to deal with me because “I have too many questions” are you for real is it not your responsibility to advise us on anything we don’t understand or not sure about, I found her approach very alarming, instead of saying I was late and let me go, she instead started to interrogate me by sounding cruel and malicious about how she doesn’t want to treat me and suggested me to go else where, this came across as very rude to me, at this point I was feeling very much uncomfortable as I was trying to explain myself but she was not listening I was left stunned by what had happened and I was totally speechless, I sincerely think the practitioner (kay) I was dealing with today is mentally unfit for this role, she needs to see a psychiatrist and also needs to educate herself on client code of conduct , she probably thinks she can walk all over people because she owns the place, let me tell you one thing matriarch I’m a landlord myself I own many properties so belittling and undermining people is not going to get you anywhere but self destruction I would love to show you your place by taking this further if I have to even if I have to go legal. I’m so disappointed I had to deal with Kay, Beth is definitely a better practitioner hands down practitioner!.

I've been using Fiji for 5 months now and I have to leave a disappointing but honest review.Firstly, I noticed the clinic offers a discount for posting Google reviews so please bear this in mind when reading reviews.1st appointment, I was shown detailed skin analysis and advised to use the Obaji kit, peel and moisturiser.1st follow up consultation no improvement in skin analysis and advised this was due to my product application. I was also required to purchase additional products in exchange for the consultation.2nd consultation still no improvement in skin analysis, again due to my apparent poor application even though I was out of the majority of products.I expressed concerns re products potentially not penetrating into skin which were dismissed. The lack of progress which was apparent in skin analysis was also dismissed and instead I was just encouraged to repurchase kit and additional treatments.I liked a couple of the products in particular the exfoliating day cream and night cream, but I was told you HAVE to use the whole range or results will NOT be achieved. I enquired about the cost as I had seen them available online at a significantly lower price...£309 v £371 at Fiji! At this point the 'upbeat tone' disappeared very quickly and the owner cut off my phone call.You will hear a lot about Fiji being a obaji best seller and that in my opinion is down to the sale technique and the discounted Google reviews.To summarise, any concerns I raised about my progress were dismissed in a patronising manner and I was made to feel like I was the problem, not the product. It was quickly used as a sales opportunity to upsell additonal products and services.Sometimes, products don't work for everyone. Sometimes, people dont want to overpay for the same products which are cheaper elsewhere. The instant turn in behaviour just shows she sees you as a cashpoint not a client.Edit:The call from the owner came after I left a review...not before. At this point following your behaviour you have lost my engagement.You should listen to clients concerns and not just push sales. If a client says they don't like the spf because it is very thick and heavy and greasy and leaves a horrible cast, I really don't see how switching it to a tinted one will help! And I am the ONLY person who didn't like the face wash. And I wont be charged for a sample product because Fiji are doing me some kind of favour. THIS is the sales technique I am referring to. Nonetheless, this was a review of Fiji not obaji.If clients don't like products, feed it back to obagi instead of pushing a product in the manner in which you do. There are other spf products on the market with the same protection. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. I, as the client am reporting my issues.And to be very clear, consultations are NOT free as you have to purchase products or services or pay a consultation fee. I purchased products at each consultation. The peel was an in store promotion on at the time of my consultation. I don't see how this is even relevant to the issues I raised apart from another sales technique to promote Fiji.The whole response seems like an opportunity to promote Fiji services. You have shared my entire confidential treatment and rx data which is not good practice for a skin clinic.If the online prices were not comparable, you should have said so or suggested you look into it. I don't want a sunhat or sample products pushed on me. Again, not relevant. It was a genuine enquiry on the cost of the kit. But instead you were very rude and cut off my phone call. This is unacceptable for a service industry.

For the past few months I have been having laser hair removal on my face with Fiji Skin Clinic and have been happy with the service I have received.Although following one of my more recent appointments I was not satisfied with the results of my laser as I had noticed regrowth in areas, where hair had previously started become finer. I had contacted Kay regarding my concerns. Kay had provided me with excellent customer service and had put me at ease. On my next appointment I was looked after by one of their best laser clinicians (Yvette) and my treatment on this occasion I was very pleased with. Yvette was thorough and ensured all areas of my face were covered to ensure I get the best results from my treatment. Alongside this as a gesture of goodwill I did not need to pay for this treatment as Fiji Skin Clinic value customer feedback and take any reviews as an opportunity for learning.The whole experience has been positive and I am incredibly impressed with the customer service I have received. I would highly recommend Fiji Skin Clinic as all the staff take their time to look after all their customers and ensure customers have the best experience. I will definitely be back for more treatments for sure!Thank you 😊

The clinic was such a lovely and professional place. I had a great experience for my first time. A lady called Beth did my initial consultation for lasering and she explained everything to me thoroughly and answered any questions I had. All the forms were sorted for me straight away and the laser experience itself only took about 10 minutes. I would recommend this place if anyone wants to get lasering done as you end up feeling rejuvenated as you leave.

Being a ‘mature’ lady, I was looking for something more than just a facial and so when I saw the advert for Morpheus8, I was intrigued and went along to the open evening to learn more about this. After a lot of research, I signed up for the treatment and have just had my last treatment of the course today. After 3 sessions, I have now started to see beneficial changes in my skin and now cannot wait until my review in January when I should really be able to see significant benefits of my investment with this relatively new treatment. ( I believe that Fiji is currently the only clinic offering Morpheus8 treatment in Birmingham). The team at the clinic are all extremely professional and knowledgeable and very friendly. I was assigned to Beth for my treatment and sincerely, she has been phenomenal - thank you. It is a bit of a leap of faith as the results with Morpheus8 are not immediate, but I am feeling confident that it was the right choice of treatment for me. I’ll give an update after my review late January!

I had a booked a hydra facial. Unfortunately due to my own personal circumstances I could not have the hydra facial, I spoke with Laura and Wallis who offered me a different type of facial both of them were really kind and welcoming. Wallis did the facial for me and she was extremely professional and warm. She explained each process before carrying it out. We also had a good chat whilst she was doing it. My skin is glowing and I feel relaxed after my visit to Fiji Skin Clinic.

I went to Fiji skin clinic for a skin consultation with Beth. Beth was extremely knowledgable and we talked in detail through all my skin concerns. The use of the photographs to show skin issues not visible on the surface was amazing and we talked through the best plan for my skin treatment and that we would have regular consultations to make sure progress was being made. I found it extremely informative and helpful and I felt reassured in my skin treatment choices. Looking forward to seeing the results!
